The final project:
LOVE IS ALL
The purpose of the project is to combine different print techniques in one piece.
The techniques used in Love is All where a combination between the wood-type with 3 lino-blocks, both techniques covered in class.
I used three different papers: the white, the brown and old newspaper. This is not like any other newspaper, it is from 1946 and it shows news from the ends of the II World War, what help me to emphasized the message I wanted to show in this print. The news at that times where all about bombs, dies, deseases, fights, pacts… People were crazy about the war, it was the only topic they talked, and they were forgetting about the main purpose of human being, love.
I used The well known 2 kissers that Alfred Eisenstaedt photograph in 1946 from the celebrations in Times Square marking the end of U.S. hostilities with Japan. This iconic image was the kiss that ended the IIWW.
